Tim just after some track testing on Friday, pic by John Mclean By Ashley Enright When Tim Hastings announced that there was a chance he wouldn’t be able to finish the 2012 Metzeler National Superstock season I was surprised and wanted to do something to help get him back where he belongs - on track within the BSB series. I had one of my photographs of Tim printed onto a 30"x20" canvas for Team Twister to raffle to raise funds in the hope that they can compete in the final three rounds of the season. The photograph was taken at Brands Hatch in April 2011 and shows the “Fan Zone” containing names of supporters through the “Twister...Powered by Fans” campaign. I am offering the canvas as a raffle at £5 a ticket, so please show your support and message me with a name, phone number and how many tickets you’d like. Chang Jiang CJ750

The bike on the right, Chang Jiang 750, is a bike I've had since about 1999. I used it quite a lot the first six years and was fairly reliable, not like when the first owner had it with a breakdown nearly every trip. Might have something to do with having a bit of mechanical sympathy that I didn't have any major problems. Its been sitting with a cover over it for too long now so this Winter it'll be getting the once over and back on the road for Spring....... well thats the plan.

Flat Tracker Zed

Spotted this Flat tracker/ Street tracker styled Zed while over in Germany for the Z1 40th anniversary rally at Edersee. There's a lot of nice work done to the bike, a lot you don't notice right away. Nice job!

Back in the 70s/80s this was the way to get your on board footage, as you can see not as compact as the modern helmet cams. The batteries for it were carried in a back pack and weighed in at about 50lbs, this gave about enough power for one lap.... Rider is Lang Hindle, former Canadian Superbike Champion

Black Zed

Honda CB400/4

This is the latest project that my mate James has bought ( the owner of the BMW R75/6 from a few months back, an update of that later), a 1976 Honda CB400/4. Bought on ebay from DK Motorcycles a few weeks back. A bit rough round the edges, but surprisingly totally rust free (California import). A few things are on the way for it and paint work is off to the painter. This should be a fairly easy tidy up with the plan to have it registered and on the road by the end of the month.......
