MZ GT250 "werks" model

GT250 "werks" model made in 1980

While looking for a Friday Bike I came across the Vintage Enduro site, link in the title. There are loads of old ISDT bikes for you to drool over and a fair bit of info.

The MZ in the above pic really caught my eye, it shows they were up there with the rest of the European manufacturers in the 80s with their competition bikes.

You'll see the GT250 a few times in the Vid below

That is a very nice site, could spend a lot of time there. Neat to see Penton's. Carl Cranke was a local guy here back in the 70's.His wife's parents owned a house I rented, and occasionally I'd see him riding a Penton around. He worked at a local bike shop and did some machine work on a Honda SL-100 my brother and I put together. It ran a piston modified by Cranke that allowed it to be legal in the 125 class. I still have that bike and it's on my projects list. All part of my "return to dirt-riding plan".
