  1. I can't even afford the Brough Superior clothing! If I win the lottery a Brough would be a most excellent use of some (a lot!) of the money. Here's hoping :-)

  2. Price of the T shirts weren't too expensive!!!

I would love to have a ride on an SS80, side valve engine. Just for the fact that it was the first Brough I seen.
Think I was about sixteen and following up a lead on the where abouts of an old bike, as my mate and myself used to do at weekends on our mopeds. The lead was that some guy a few towns away had a BSA A10, and with in a few hours had pin pointed the guys house. The usual chit chat followed and we talked our way into "the shed". The A10 was there, it was nice, but the eyes were on the "old" bike in the corner. What was it?, the guy said its a SS80 and that some old guy gave him it a year or so back.... and the side car, which it came with from the factory, was lying out the back of the shed. It turned out that the old guy had bought it new and had gave him every bit of paperwork that had came with the outfit, even the build book, listing everything fitted to that bike plus sidecar. Some years later the Brough and the A10 were swopped for a secondhand Honda CB900 at the local Honda dealer...
On a better note the Brough did finally get restored and joined the Dealers collection of interesting bikes.

Anyone got a SS80 I can have a ride on?????
