Very nice conversion. Wonder how much frame messaging was involved? Reminds me of a conversion I saw in the 70's. A visitor to the campgrounds I worked at, up at Lake Tahoe, pulled in with a BMW/Volkswagen conversion that was also very cleanly done. Said it was all done very easily with a custom adapter plate and flywheel that allowed the VW engine to mate up to the BMW trans. At the time I was driving a 1960 36 HP Bug. He told me his motor was cranking out 85 plus HP. I was slightly jealous. Hairy Larry

ReplyDeleteLarry I remember seeing a VW engined Russian Ural sidecar outfit plus large trailer, the owner said it just pulls!!!!
