I've only seen maybe a half dozen Panthers, all at shows...never on the road. I found the barrel from one, lost in a stack of Knuckle and Panhead parts at the shop I worked at in the 70's. Only our resident British bike expert knew what it was. Talk about a long stroking thumper. Interesting bikes. HL
Larry, I remember my Dad saying the Big Panthers used to fire every lamp post (street light). Had a run on an early one and have to say that engine is a lovely low reving torquey motor, I can see why they were a favorite for the side car guys
