A friend just sent me a link to this bike which is on ebay just now.
Its a 76 Kawasaki KZ900 fitted with a Tracy Body kit. I like the way its been painted using Z1B colours.
I think I've said else where in the past I wouldn't mind one of these bodies for one of my Zeds, may be some day......

Friday Bike
Last month I hitched a run south with my mate Vic, he was doing a bit of bike collecting. We stopped off at his friends place, which is a sort of Mecca for Benelli multi's. Amongst them was a very nice 1970 Motobi 650 Tornado, a bike I don't think I'd seen in the metal before. Heres a few photos of it.

Friday Bike
A Kawasaki 750 Zephyr, with Z1 style paint work, Z2 side panel badges and a Moriwaki style four into one, not far from standard but looks 100% better I think.....

Nicley sorted small unit Triumph :-)
Heres a near standard 68 T1000C Bodger, the one at the top seems to have Italian forks and a Honda TLS front hub, might even started life as 5TA
Larry just sent me a couple of pics of Bruce Springsteen, one of which hes on a Triumph, it looks like its a pre unit... someone might tell us the story of him and the bike??

Friday Bike
A while back there was a post on an advert showing the last of the BSA line up for 72, which lead on to talking about the BSA Fury/ Triumph Bandit. As expected when the factory closed there would be loads of spares to dispose of, and among the parts was quite a few frames for the "new" Bandit/ Fury's. I remember seeing a few dealers advertising them for sale in the magazines, even into the 80s. Over the years I've seen a few specials built with the frames. Triumph/ BSA had a go at building other "projects" with them, with a couple of them on show at the NMM.
So what brought on this post? well I was at a CRMC race meeting and spotted the bike below, its built round a Bandit frame, using a late 650 (70s) Triumph motor with a 750 parallel inlet head, topped off with a Bandit fuel tank... it goes as well as it looks

Friday Bike

This bike popped up a few years ago, a nicely modified Kawasaki W650 to look a bit like the old Kawasaki W2TT/ 650TT. I don't know whos project it was, anyone know the builder?

Friday Bike

This follows on from a post from a while back, "nice bike, but what is it?" Which turned out to be a Kawasaki Z400 in 60s off road style. Well here's another of Japan's small twins, a Yamaha XS400 in a similar style. Nicely done, even has Triumph/ BSA conical hub wheels for "that" look.
