Texas Mile
Never heard of it till a few months ago when talking to Joe, he lives a mile or so from me but is working out in Texas. So last weekend he had a go at the Texas Mile, clocking 181.5mph on his track bike Yamaha R1, not bad and hes even got the Tee shirt

My god Kawa, Joe Toner, haven't seen him for years (think the last time was at the Manx thousands of years ago) I see he's still trying to go fast :-)

ReplyDeleteGino, aye he's still about and still enjoying two wheels doing track days with a bit of dirt bike riding.
ReplyDeleteBodger, not sure how far its from you, its at an Airstrip called Goliad County Industrial Airpark, which is near a place called Berclair on the US 59 (Southwest Freeway). Think its held twice a year,you thinking of having a go??
A mile to get up to speed, and a half mile to lose that speed...Crazy! HL
